The Mathematics Research Communities (MRC) is a program that creates collaborative cohorts of early-career researchers around open research questions in mathematics. The program includes a one-week summer conference with on-site mentors for each research topic, Special Sessions at the Joint Mathematics Meetings, discussion networks by research topic, and a longitudinal study of early-career mathematicians. The National Science Foundation provides grant support for MRCs and the program hosts international participants.
