The Jack Kent Cooke Foundation awarded $500,000 in grants to selective public high schools in six states to support programs that prepare academically talented, low-income students to gain admission to and graduate from top colleges and universities. The grants are expected to benefit more than 1,500 students in grades 6–12 across the recipient schools.
