Villa Vigoni – Programme for German–Italian Cooperation in the Humanities and Social Sciences (Conferences 2028)

The Villa Vigoni programme, in agreement with the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG), solicits proposals for conferences addressing humanities and social sciences topics from German and Italian perspectives for events taking place in 2028. The programme aims to explore current challenges in the humanities and social sciences and to mobilize new connections between German and Italian scholarship. Core activities are the Villa-Vigoni-Gespräche, intensive discussion formats recommended to limit participation to a maximum of 22 people. Projects must contribute to Villa Vigoni's institutional mission of promoting German–Italian relations in science, education and culture and enable encounters of early-career researchers.
