Collaborative Researcher Project on Mental Health in Ukraine During and After Wartime

A joint call to fund collaborative research projects between Ukrainian and Norwegian partners that develop and evaluate context-relevant, research-based interventions to improve mental health among people in Ukraine affected by the war. Projects should focus on scalable, accessible interventions with broad applicability while allowing tailoring to specific population groups. The call aims to strengthen lasting research collaborations between Ukrainian and Norwegian researchers and to support applied research or implementation research relevant to wartime context.

Funding for joint research projects to develop and evaluate mental health interventions and to support research collaboration between Norway and Ukraine.

Each project must include one Norwegian and one Ukrainian partner; the Norwegian partner (an approved Norwegian research organisation) is the project owner and must submit the application in the MyRCN portal. The project manager must hold an approved doctoral degree or equivalent (or associate professor qualifications) and be employed by the project owner. Projects may not include R&D suppliers.

The Norwegian partner (approved Norwegian research organisation) must submit the application on behalf of all partners via the MyRCN web portal; the project owner and administrator have specified formal responsibilities.
