A competitive call for collaborative research projects that promote cooperation between Norwegian research organisations and the maritime industry to develop knowledge addressing emissions reduction, green transition, safety and strengthened value creation and exports. Projects should focus on thematic areas including digitalisation of the maritime industry, green shipping and safety at sea. Projects must involve broad collaboration with Norwegian maritime companies and may include doctoral training. Funding is intended for research activities that produce industrially scalable solutions and measurable emission reductions where relevant.

Eligibility

The Project Owner must be an approved Norwegian research organisation. Projects must involve collaboration with Norwegian maritime companies and clearly defined roles for participating organisations; public agencies and research organisations may participate under specified conditions.

Application

Applications must be submitted by the Project Owner (an approved Norwegian research organisation) via the Research Council of Norway's new application system and application form on the Council's website.
