Norwegian Centre for Research at CERN (NorCC) – Call for Proposals 2026

The Norwegian Centre for Research at CERN (NorCC) is a centre-level research collaboration funding Norwegian participation in CERN experiments, focused on nuclear and particle physics. The centre supports operation and maintenance contributions to experiments, research linked to those experiments, an Industry Liaison Officer (ILO), participation in CERN recruitment programmes, student programmes, dissemination and travel support. One approved Norwegian research organisation must serve as the Project Owner and the centre is implemented through binding collaboration between research organisations.

Coverage of actual project costs for centre activities, support for operation and maintenance of experiments, funding for an Industry Liaison Officer, support for participation in CERN recruitment programmes, student programmes, dissemination and travel support.

The Project Owner must be an approved Norwegian research organisation; the Project Owner must submit the application on behalf of all partners. Partners must be research organisations and the project manager must be employed by the Project Owner or one of the partners and document experience managing large, complex projects.
