Information

The Research Centre for Petroleum (PETROSENTER) is a grant scheme to establish up to two new long-term research centres focused on petroleum activities on the Norwegian continental shelf. The centres are intended to strengthen research capacity and expertise in the petroleum sector through long-term research and innovation that increase value creation and societal benefit. They must address safety, security, working environment and technology development for sustainable utilisation of petroleum resources and demonstrate strong national and international collaboration. The centres will operate within the scope of the Research Council's Portfolio Plan for Energy and Transport, sub-portfolio petroleum.

Funding to establish up to two new long-term research centres for petroleum; long-term research and innovation support intended to increase value creation and societal benefit.

Eligibility

Approved Norwegian research organisations in binding collaboration with partners from other research organisations, the industry sector, the public sector and other societal actors are eligible to apply. Industry, public sector and other societal actors must participate as user partners.

Application

Two-stage application: submission of an outline by the outline deadline (mandatory) followed by submission of a main application based on one or more submitted outlines. Applications not based on submitted outlines will be rejected.
