Information

The Centre for Research on Extremism is a five-year research centre funding opportunity to conduct theoretical and empirical research on radicalisation and violent extremism and to develop knowledge on prevention and related phenomena. The centre must include resources from multiple institutions, demonstrate national, Nordic and international cooperation, and have a clear link to higher education (master's level) and funded doctoral positions. The centre will support activities such as research staffing, doctoral and postdoctoral fellowships, publishing, dissemination and an annual meeting for researchers and key users.

Eligibility

Only approved Norwegian research organisations are eligible to apply; approved Norwegian research organisations and similar foreign organisations may participate as collaborating partners and receive funding.

Application

The Project Owner submits an application on behalf of partners using the Research Council of Norway application portal; the Project Owner must be an approved Norwegian research organisation and the project manager must be employed by the Project Owner or a partner.
