PRIMA 2026 Calls for Proposals

The PRIMA (Partnership for Research and Innovation in the Mediterranean Region) 2026 calls for proposals fund transnational research and innovation projects. The programme has two sections: Section 1, EU-funded and fully managed by PRIMA, with Phase 1 proposals due by May 15 and Phase 2 by October 7; Section 2, funded by national agencies, with Phase 1 proposals due by May 15 and Phase 2 by September 29. In Portugal, FCT provides funding under Section 2 to support national institutions, focusing on water management, agricultural systems, and the agro-food chain within the water-energy-food-ecosystems nexus, and includes the PRIMA Young Innovators Award 2026.

Proposals can be submitted by institutions from participating PRIMA countries in two sections, with Section 1 EU-funded and Section 2 funded by national agencies.
