Programa Doutor AP

The Doutor AP program is a funded instrument from FCT intended to strengthen scientific capacity in the Portuguese Public Administration by providing protected time for research and enabling employees to pursue a doctorate. The program supports professionals from various public sector areas to obtain a doctoral degree with work plans aligned to their institutions’ strategies, through a combination of protected time and formation subsidies.

Protected time for research (at least one year with a minimum of 20% time reduction in the first funding tranche) and a Training Subsidy up to 2,750 EUR per year for doctoral study costs; up to 80 subsidies available in this edition.

Professionals from various areas of the Public Administration with a contractual link to the sector are eligible to apply.
