Haikus de Matsuo Bashō, en San Ildefonso

The Coloquio de Literatura Japonesa “Haikus de Matsuo Bashō” is a scholarly colloquium organized by the Congregación Literaria Mexicana within the Octavio Paz Extraordinary Chair framework. It gathers specialists, translators and scholars to discuss Bashō’s haiku, its reception in Hispanic contexts, and the translation and interpretation of Japanese haiku into Spanish. The day includes three panels exploring formation and reception, brief forms of Japanese literature, and Bashō’s place in Edo period poetry, followed by the launch of the book Haikus de Matsuo Bashō.
