The National Acadian Day funding is a grant program to support community celebrations of National Acadian Day (August 15). It provides funding for eligible organizations across Canada to organize free public events held on August 15 or the surrounding weekend. Projects must be open to the public and free of charge.

Eligibility

Eligible applicants are Canadian organizations, including Canadian not-for-profit organizations, Canadian business corporations for non-commercial projects, Canadian educational institutions, Canadian municipal governments or other municipal/provincial/territorial institutions, Indigenous Peoples institutions or organizations, and local band/tribal councils or other local Indigenous governments or organizations. Federal, provincial and territorial governments are not eligible.
