Odyssey – Language Assistant Program

Odyssey is a bilingual, paid work experience placing postsecondary students as language assistants in another part of Canada. Participants work in classrooms as ESL, FSL, or FFL language assistants for 25 hours per week during a nine-month work term. The program provides bilingual professional experience and a gross salary of approximately $30,000 for the nine-month term.

Candidates must have excellent oral and written skills in either English or French; be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident; and have completed, by the start of the work term and within the last 10 years, at least one full year of postsecondary studies (Quebec candidates must have completed two years of college-level studies or one year of university).
