My First Georgian Role is a school theatrical composition competition for students of non-Georgian-language general education institutions in Georgia. The competition aims to develop oral language competence in the state language and to reveal students' creative skills through preparing and staging short theatrical pieces. Productions may be based on any literary work or an original script and should not exceed 15 minutes. Top schools receive awards and are invited to present their productions on a Ministry-selected stage in Tbilisi.

Diplomas and valuable gifts for I, II, III places and special jury nominations; winning schools present their productions in Tbilisi at a Ministry-selected stage and participate in an award ceremony.

Eligibility

Students of non-Georgian-language general education institutions/sectors at primary, basic and secondary levels; each school may submit at most one theatrical composition.

Application

Each school may prepare and submit one theatrical composition; schools stage and provide a video recording of the composition to the relevant resource center (video link uploaded to Microsoft OneDrive) by the stated deadlines. Schools may involve professional practitioners in staging.
