Competition for Publishing Literary Periodicals

The Competition for Publishing Literary Periodicals supports the production and dissemination of Georgian-language literary journals, including prose, poetry and drama. It is organised by the Writers' House (SSIP "Writers' House") with support from the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia and funds winning projects through a competitive commission. The competition awards funding to selected legal entities that publish literary periodicals and meet the programme criteria.

Selected projects receive funding from the competition budget; number of winners and amounts are determined by the competition commission.

Legal entities that publish literary periodicals with at least 1 year of experience in the field may participate. Each applicant may submit only one project. Project start date must be no earlier than April 1 and project end date no later than December 15.

Applicants must submit a set of documents (cover letter, project application per Annex N1, partnership agreements if any, extract from public registry, three print-shop invoices, publication concept in electronic form, editorial board CVs, author permissions, bank details) to the Writers' House in person at Iv. Machabeli St. 13, Tbilisi before the deadline.
