Information

The Peace Corps Education Program school selection competition invited motivated public schools in specified regions of Georgia to partner with Peace Corps volunteers for an English teaching project. Selected schools would work with American English teachers to improve English language instruction and classroom practices during the 2016–2018 academic years. The process required schools to submit a volunteer request form and host-family applications to the Peace Corps office in Tbilisi or by email.

Eligibility

Motivated public schools located in specified regions of Georgia with a minimum English instructional load of 24 hours and interested in hosting a volunteer for the 2016–2018 academic years may apply.

Application

Schools must obtain and complete the volunteer request form and host-family application, then submit them to the Peace Corps office at Vazha-Pshavela Ave #29a, Tbilisi 0160 or send by email to education@ge.peacecorps.gov. Forms were also available for download from the Peace Corps Georgia website or from regional education resource centers.
