EMBO Early-Career Researcher Peer Review Initiative

The EMBO Early-Career Researcher Peer Review Initiative trains and invites senior postdoctoral researchers to participate directly in peer review for Review Commons and EMBO Press journals. The pilot provides training webinars, editorial feedback and opportunities to act as reviewers alongside seasoned referees. The initiative aims to give participants formal credit for reviewing and embed peer review experience as a recognised part of academic development.

Senior postdoctoral researchers (EMBL postdocs and EMBO Fellows with at least two years of postdoctoral experience were invited to self-nominate).

Self-nomination by eligible postdoctoral researchers; editors select participants and provide guidance and feedback.
