EMBO Installation Grants

The EMBO Installation Grants support early-stage group leaders establishing independent laboratories to strengthen the life sciences in participating countries. Grants provide multi-year funding and connect grantees to an international network of EMBO investigators. Additional support includes mentoring, training, eligibility for further small grants, and access to EMBL core facilities. Funding partners include national ministries/agencies in participating countries and EMBC.

€50,000 per year for five years; access to mentoring and training courses; eligibility for additional grants (e.g., travel or conference grants); access to EMBL core facilities; membership of EMBO network.

Group leaders in the early stages of setting up their laboratories who have demonstrated international mobility and research experience; hosts must be in participating countries.
