The UNESCO King Hamad Bin Isa Al-Khalifa Prize recognises individuals, institutions and non-governmental organizations that implement innovative projects which enhance teaching and learning through information and communication technologies (ICT). It is awarded annually to two outstanding projects that promote quality, inclusive and innovative education in line with UNESCO's objectives and the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. The prize highlights solutions such as online learning innovations, smart learning management systems, machine translation, big data and imaging technologies. Winners are honoured at an international award ceremony at UNESCO Headquarters in Paris.

Eligibility

Innovative individuals in e-learning; educational and research institutions; non-governmental organizations and other entities active in the field of education.

Application

Nominations must be submitted by a UNESCO National Commission or an NGO in official partnership with UNESCO; self-nominations are not accepted.
