A three-day workshop for journalists to improve reportage of non-economic loss and damage (NELD) caused by climate change, with attention to differential impacts on women and other vulnerable groups. The workshop includes training sessions and a field trip and is part of EJN’s project on boosting coverage of NELD in the Bay of Bengal region. It is aimed at journalists from print, online, radio and television outlets and will be held in Satkhira, Bangladesh on October 27–29, 2026.

Eligibility

Applications are open to journalists based in Bangladesh from print, online, radio and television outlets; preference given to journalists based in coastal areas. Applicants must commit to attending all three days, have some experience reporting on environmental issues with a focus on climate change, understand and be able to communicate in English and Bangla, and permit republication by the organizers of any output resulting from participation. Staff must provide a letter from their supervisor and submit two published samples or links to published work.
