Media Workshop on Biodiversity in Montenegro

The Media Workshop on Biodiversity in Montenegro is an in-person training for journalists from the Western Balkans to deepen their understanding of biodiversity issues, regional challenges and conservation solutions. The workshop combines thematic and skills-based sessions with experts, researchers, policymakers and local communities, and includes a field trip. It aims to strengthen biodiversity reporting and equip participants to hold governments and stakeholders accountable.

Training sessions with experts, thematic and skills-based learning, a field trip, and covered travel, accommodation and meals for selected participants.

Open to journalists and media practitioners working in any medium from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, North Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia and Kosovo; freelance and staff journalists encouraged to apply. Applications must be in English and applicants should have a working understanding of English. Women, rural, Indigenous and early-career journalists are especially encouraged to apply.
