The British Academy/Leverhulme Small Research Grants provide project funding to support primary research in the humanities and social sciences. Awards are tenable for between one and 24 months and are designed to cover the direct expenses arising from a defined research project. Grants are available up to £10,000. The scheme accepts applications from individual and collaborative projects and can include co-applicants based outside the UK where the principal applicant is ordinarily resident in the UK.

Eligibility

Awards are open to postdoctoral scholars (or equivalent) who are ordinarily resident in the United Kingdom. Co-applicants may be from anywhere in the world, but the principal applicant must be ordinarily resident in the UK.
