AFS Volunteer & School Awards

The AFS Volunteer & School Awards recognize outstanding members of the AFS community, including volunteers, volunteer families, young volunteers, local chapters, volunteer teams and AFS Partner Schools. Multiple award categories are presented, including the AFS Galatti Award, the AFS Peggy and Art Howe Award, the AFS Award for Young Volunteers, the AFS Community Impact Award, the AFS International Volunteer Action Award, and the AFS Global School Award. Winners receive formal recognition for their contributions to intercultural education and advancing AFS's mission. Nominations are submitted and reviewed by AFS Network Organizations.

Formal recognition as an AFS award winner; inclusion in AFS awards program and publicity associated with the award.

Anyone can submit a nomination. Nominees include AFS volunteers (including those with at least 15 years of service), volunteer families, young volunteers (nominees must be 30 years old or younger for the Young Volunteers award), local chapters, volunteer teams, and AFS Partner Schools.
