The Faculty of Engineering Rural Scholarships Program provides merit-based scholarships to high-achieving students from rural or isolated areas commencing full-time undergraduate study in the UNSW Faculty of Engineering. Multiple named scholarships are offered (examples include Luciano Ferracin Memorial, NSK Australia-UNSW Endowment, Mitsubishi Rural Scholarship in Mining Engineering), typically valued at $15,000 per annum for the minimum duration of the program. Scholarships are for specific engineering degree programs and may have program-specific eligibility or exclusions. Selection is based on academic merit, leadership, extra-curricular activities and commitment to engineering studies.

Eligibility

Applicants must be Australian Citizens, Australian Permanent Residents (including Humanitarian Visa holders) or New Zealand Citizens, and have lived in a rural, regional or remote area (ASGC-RA other than RA1) within the two years prior to the start of UNSW studies. Applicants must be commencing full-time undergraduate study (single or double degree) in a Faculty of Engineering degree program.
