Investigator Initiated Clinical Trials (IICT) Programme – Call 2026

The Investigator Initiated Clinical Trials (IICT) programme supports clinical trials on under-researched topics that meet medical and social needs and are outside the industry focus. The programme does not provide support for non-randomised and uncontrolled trials. It requires involvement of clinical trial units and patient representatives during preparation and submission.

Research funding for investigator-initiated clinical trials; preparatory PPI grants up to 5,000 CHF.

Researchers wishing to participate must submit a letter of intent and a proposal; a support letter from a local clinical trial unit (CTU) must be included with the letter of intent and the proposal.
