Global Africa Translation Fellowship 2025

As part of its African Languages and Translation Program, The Africa Institute invites applications to the fifth cohort of the Global Africa Translation Fellowship for 2025. The fellowship provides a grant of up to $5,000 to complete translations of works from the African continent and its diaspora, into English or Arabic (other languages are considered). It is a non-residential fellowship that allows the recipient to work outside the Institute in Sharjah, UAE, with the aim of making African texts more accessible to a wider readership.
