Killam Awards for Excellence in Mentoring 2027

The Killam Awards for Excellence in Mentoring 2027 recognize University of British Columbia Vancouver faculty members who have demonstrated exceptional mentorship of graduate students. Each recipient receives a CAD 5,000 cash award and a commemorative certificate, presented at Fall Convocation. Nominations are submitted by departments, and graduate students cannot nominate directly; however, students can influence nomination by supporting their department head to consider a nominee.

Eligible nominees are continuing UBC Vancouver academic staff; nominations must be submitted by the nominee’s department.

Nominations are submitted by the department; a nomination package is prepared and submitted through the designated Qualtrics form.
