Merit-Based Scholarship (Scholarship for Academic Excellence) — University of Klagenfurt 2026

The Merit-Based Scholarship at the University of Klagenfurt recognises and rewards outstanding academic achievement by students enrolled at the university. It is awarded annually under the Student Support Act and considers academic achievements completed during the relevant academic year. The scholarship is internal to enrolled students and provides a monetary award between €750 and €1,500. Decisions for the 2025/26 cycle are expected by mid-January 2027 at the latest.

Applicants must be regular students enrolled at the University of Klagenfurt who completed at least 40 ECTS during the relevant academic year with an overall GPA of 1.5 or better. Applicants must meet applicable nationality or equal-status requirements; third-country nationals are eligible only if they have equal status with Austrian citizens under specified conditions.

Submit an online application through the University of Klagenfurt student portal (My applications → File new application → select Merit-Based Scholarship), ensuring required ECTS and examination records are correctly entered; late applications are not accepted.
