Information

The Fulbright–University of Turku Graduate Award is a Fulbright Finland Foundation scholarship for U.S. citizens planning postgraduate (master's or doctoral) studies at the University of Turku. The award provides tuition coverage for master’s students, a monthly stipend, a travel grant, residence permit allowance and supplemental accident and sickness benefits. Recipients may also participate in a pre-approved Fulbright Finland summer school and apply for additional funding sources such as the Lois Roth Foundation.

Benefits

Monthly stipend (EUR 1,000 for master's, EUR 1,200 for doctoral for 2025-26), full tuition for master's students, USD 1,600 travel grant, residence permit allowance, supplemental accident and sickness benefit, participation in a Fulbright Finland pre-approved summer school, access to alumni network, eligibility to apply for additional funding (Lois Roth Foundation).

Eligibility

Applicants must be U.S. citizens who hold a bachelor's or master's degree and are applying to master's or doctoral programs at the University of Turku.

Application

Apply to the Fulbright grant competition and subsequently apply for admission to the University of Turku as required.
