University of Minnesota Graduate Scholarship

The University of Minnesota Graduate Scholarship is a fully funded doctoral research position that includes tuition coverage and a living stipend targeted at advancing a PhD project in wildlife biology and disease ecology. The program partners with Bemidji State University and the Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa to study deer health dynamics, management, and disease risk. The position involves fieldwork, data analysis, laboratory activities, and epidemiological modeling under a collaborative framework.

Tuition coverage and an annual living stipend of $30,300; opportunity to conduct doctoral research and participate in related field and laboratory activities.

Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in wildlife biology, ecology, or related field and demonstrate strong research potential and ability to work independently and with external partners; preference given to candidates with Native American heritage.
