The CGIAR Climate, Peace and Security Spring School is a three-day programme for early career researchers in South Africa to study climate, peace and security through interdisciplinary learning, practical training, fieldwork and regional networking. Travel, accommodation and meals are covered for selected participants. The Spring School takes place 2–4 September 2026 at the University of Fort Hare’s East London Campus in South Africa.

Eligibility

Open to early career researchers, including Master’s and PhD students, postdoctoral fellows and young professionals, who currently reside in South Africa.
