World Affairs Councils of America (WACA) Student Scholars Program 2026

The World Affairs Councils of America (WACA) Student Scholars Program 2026 is a fully funded opportunity for undergraduate students to attend the National Conference in Washington, D.C., with travel, lodging, and related expenses covered. The program offers selection through local Councils and includes additional experiences such as Scholar Day with visits to think tanks, embassies, and international organizations. Up to 25 undergraduates are supported to participate at no cost to themselves beyond Council nomination.

Travel and lodging coverage for the Scholar, $1,250 to defray travel and lodging costs to the nominating Council, attendance at the National Conference, Scholar Day activities, and ongoing support and reporting requirements.

Each Council may nominate one undergraduate student 18 years or older from a local college or university.

Council nominates a student, submits an online nomination form, and the student completes an online application with a resume and a 1-2 page Letter of Intent.
