11th Africa Energy Innovation Challenge (AEIC) 2026

The 11th Africa Energy Innovation Challenge (AEIC) is a competition for young, early-stage energy entrepreneurs across Africa to develop, prototype and scale innovative devices, equipment and digital solutions for social enterprise, agribusiness, fintech and energy management. Teams of 3 or more, aged 18–35, compete across four tracks to win cash prize grants and gain access to mentoring, workshops and an incubator network. Finalists pitch at the Nigeria Energy Forum and receive opportunities for further support and exposure.

Cash prize grants up to US$10,000; poster and video pitch opportunity at the Nigeria Energy Forum; networking with senior decision-makers; access to business development workshops, industry mentorship and exhibitions valued at over US$15,000; support from a venture incubator.

Open to young professionals from Africa aged 18–35, with teams of at least three people and gender balance requirements.

Submit a project proposal through the official application form; include a 1-page poster summary, abstract, design brief and a short video pitch as required.
