Information

The UN FAO Young Professionals Programme (YPP) 2026 is a recruitment initiative designed to bring qualified young professionals into international civil service through two-year fixed-term contracts. It targets nationals from non or underrepresented member countries, with priority for candidates from small island developing states, least developed countries, landlocked developing countries and other developing countries. YPP provides structured assignments across FAO units with supervision and opportunities to contribute to FAO activities.

Eligibility

Candidates must be 32 years of age or younger as of the application year, hold an advanced university degree in a field relevant to FAO work, have at least one year of professional experience in a relevant field, and have working knowledge of English with limited knowledge of another FAO official language.
