Fully Funded DAAD Research Internships in Science and Engineering (RISE) 2026

The RISE Worldwide Programme offers summer research internships for bachelor’s students in natural sciences, life sciences, engineering, computer science, medicine and pharmacy. Interns join international research teams at universities and institutions worldwide, gaining practical experience and building global networks. The programme is funded by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and provides a structured research placement with a monthly scholarship, travel allowance and insurance.

Applicants must be enrolled in a bachelor’s degree at a German university (foreign nationals may apply if completing their degree in Germany), have completed at least one semester by the time of application, and study in an eligible field.
