Chevening Europe Defence and Security Fellowship 2027

The Chevening Europe Defence and Security Fellowship 2027 is a fully funded programme for mid-career professionals to develop leadership skills in defence and security. It is delivered in the United Kingdom by Cranfield University at the Defence Academy of the United Kingdom (Shrivenham) and funded by the UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office. The fellowship includes six weeks of teaching, site visits, research, and collaborative learning intended to enhance strategic thinking and international collaboration.

Open to professionals from eligible European countries who have at least five years of relevant experience and hold a postgraduate qualification or equivalent professional training in a relevant field; applicants must work in government, defence, security, law enforcement, intelligence, civil protection, resilience, or international organisations with security responsibilities.
