The CIMPA-ICTP “Research in Pairs” Fellowship Program 2026 funds two researchers from developing countries to visit a European collaborating colleague for a well-defined research project, primarily at the host institution. The visit includes collaboration and a recorded mathematics mini-course.

Benefits

Funding for travel and local costs up to 10,000 euros; opportunity to collaborate on a research project and to record a mathematics mini-course (8 hours) in French or English.

Eligibility

A researcher who defended their PhD at least 3 years ago and has been employed at an academic institution in a developing country for the past 5 years; the European host is a PhD-holding mathematician and the candidate will conduct a recorded mini-course during the stay.
