Marshall Scholarship 2027

The Marshall Scholarship 2027 is a fully funded postgraduate scholarship for academically outstanding United States citizens to pursue master's or doctoral study at universities across the United Kingdom. Funded by the UK government through the Marshall Aid Commemoration Commission, the award supports study in almost any academic field and aims to strengthen long-term British‑American relations. Up to 50 Marshall Scholarships are awarded annually, with funding available for one or two years of postgraduate study and up to three years for certain doctoral pathways. Candidates are assessed on academic merit, leadership potential, and ambassadorial potential.

Tuition fees, monthly living and accommodation allowance, book and thesis grants, research and travel grants, economy-class travel US–UK, visa support, NHS access, and possible dependent support.

Applicants must be citizens of the United States and hold, or expect to hold by the time the scholarship begins, a first undergraduate degree from an accredited four-year U.S. college or university. Applicants must have graduated after April 2024 and have a minimum undergraduate GPA of 3.7/4.0; those who hold or have previously studied for a degree at a British university are ineligible.
