Nelson Mandela – Graça Machel Innovation Awards 2024-2025

The Nelson Mandela – Graça Machel Innovation Awards recognize five innovative ideas or projects from individuals, organisations, networks or community groups and provide seed funding of US$7,500. The awards are organized by CIVICUS and aim to elevate innovations that advance justice, freedom and collective action. Each category winner also receives two fully-funded trips to international events and joins CIVICUS’ Innovation Community.

US$7,500 seed funding per winning initiative; two fully-funded trips to specified events; membership in CIVICUS’ Innovation Community.

Applicants must be innovators whose product, service or process creates value and has potential for positive impact, and must be over 18 years old at the time of applying. English, Arabic, French or Spanish is accepted for applications.
