Taco Kuiper Award for Investigative Journalism 2025

The Taco Kuiper Award for Investigative Journalism 2025 recognises outstanding investigative reporting and can be awarded to a journalist or team for a single story or a series published or broadcast in 2024. The top prize is R200,000 with a runner-up prize of R100,000. Submissions are invited from South African or South Africa-based journalists.

Open to South African or South Africa-based journalists who published investigative stories between January 1 and December 31, 2024.

Submit an electronic copy of the entry material, English translations if needed, a 100-word entrant biography and photo, a high-resolution logo copy, a short motivation (up to 500 words), and, for broadcast entries, a short video clip.
