ARC Future Fellowship 2027

The ARC Future Fellowship is a competitive four-year research fellowship administered by the Australian Research Council to support outstanding mid-career researchers undertaking high-quality research of national and international significance. The fellowship provides a salary at one of three salary levels together with project funding and support for research personnel, equipment, travel and dissemination. Applicants must apply through an eligible Australian administering organisation and satisfy ARC eligibility and discipline requirements. The 2027 round is included in the ARC 2026–27 Scheme Calendar.

Four-year fellowship; salary at one of three levels; up to AUD $60,000 per year project funding; support for personnel and research assistants; access to facilities and infrastructure; funding for field research, equipment, consumables, publication and dissemination, research-related travel, and certain reasonable care-related costs.

Applicants are expected to be outstanding mid-career researchers (postdoctoral/mid-career) with an established research career, research leadership and mentoring capacity, and must apply through an eligible Australian administering organisation in line with ARC Grant Guidelines.
