The Cliff Whiting Memorial Scholarship (Te Papa Scholarships)

The Cliff Whiting Memorial Scholarship supports a student in the final trimester of a full-time taught Master's in Museum and Heritage Studies (or a related taught Master's) at Te Herenga Waka—Victoria University of Wellington. The scholarship was established by Te Papa to honour the legacy of Cliff Whiting and is administered in conjunction with Victoria University of Wellington. The award includes a monetary value and recipients may be invited to take part in an internship organised directly with Te Papa. Recipients are required to write a letter of thanks and present their research to Te Papa staff upon completion of their course.

Applicants must be current students studying a taught Master's in Museum and Heritage Studies at Victoria University of Wellington, or current students studying a taught Master's in a related field at Victoria University of Wellington. Preference will be given to candidates of Māori descent.
