Institute of Global Value Inquiry (IGVI) Worldwide 2025

The Institute of Global Value Inquiry (IGVI) invites applications from African-based scholars to join the African Gender Equality Research Group. The group assembles researchers across Africa to study African philosophies, values, and norms in relation to global values, focusing on gender equality, women’s empowerment, decoloniality, and Indigenous knowledge. Appointed scholars will engage in innovative research and advocacy, participate in conferences, and contribute to IGVI’s annual conference and the Journal of Global Value Inquiry.

Benefits

Four-year appointment with a monthly stipend of 800 Euros; involvement in conferences and contribution to IGVI’s annual conference and the Journal of Global Value Inquiry.

Eligibility

Researchers must be based in Africa and be employed by or connected to an African university. Applicants must have a PhD or doctorate in philosophy or a cognate humanities discipline and specialize in gender equality research, decoloniality, feminist philosophies, epistemologies and methodologies.

Submit CV, publications list, written documents showing research results, a summary of expertise on gender equality, and a short research proposal to info@igvi.org by 28 February 2025.
