Chevening British Library Coptic Collections Fellowship 2027/2028

The Chevening British Library Coptic Collections Fellowship is a 12-month, fully funded research fellowship hosted at the British Library for mid-career professionals to work on a dedicated project related to Coptic manuscript heritage. Fellows survey and catalogue Coptic holdings, investigate provenance, and develop public engagement outputs, with living expenses, return airfare, and project-related allowances provided. The fellowship is co-funded by the British Library and UK government Chevening programme, and aims to enhance scholarly understanding and public accessibility of Coptic heritage.

Open to mid-career professionals who are citizens of Egypt, Sudan, or Palestine, with postgraduate qualifications and substantial research experience, and who intend to return to their home country after the fellowship.
