Conference and Research Workshop Grants - Scheme 1

The Conference and Research Workshop Grants (Scheme 1) provides partial support for mathematical conferences and research workshops held in the United Kingdom, the Isle of Man and the Channel Islands. Grants are intended to support travel, accommodation, subsistence and caring costs for principal speakers/participants, UK-based research students and participants from eligible Scheme 5 countries. The scheme supports new research initiatives and small focused research workshops as well as open conferences with an expectation of diversity among invited participants.

Up to £7,000 funding for travel, accommodation and subsistence (limit £160/day); coverage for caring costs for dependents; contribution to hybrid event running costs.

Applicants should be a mathematician based in the UK, the Isle of Man or the Channel Islands when the conference or workshop is planned. PhD students are not eligible to apply for this scheme. Non-LMS members must have an LMS member counter-sign their application.
