Global Call on Science Missions for Sustainability

The Global Call on Science Missions for Sustainability is a competitive call for proposals to implement Pilot Science Missions as part of a transdisciplinary, cross-sector effort to address sustainability challenges. Shortlisted proposals will be invited to matchmaking events with funders, followed by submission of full bids, with final funding decisions made by an Oversight Committee. The initiative aims to demonstrate collaborative approaches among scientists, policymakers, NGOs, communities, and the private sector to accelerate progress toward the Sustainable Development Goals.

Novel collaborative consortia of scientists and scientific organizations, policymakers, non-governmental organizations, communities, and the private sector are invited to apply.

Proposals will be evaluated by the Selection Committee; shortlisted applicants will be invited to matchmaking events with funders, followed by submission of full bids; final funding decisions will be made by the Oversight Committee.
