DFAT Vienna Traineeship

The Australian Permanent Mission to the United Nations and International Organisations in Vienna offers a 5–6 month traineeship in Vienna, Austria for Australians interested in international relations, diplomacy and engagement with Vienna-based multilateral organisations. Trainees work under Australian diplomats and develop skills in research, reporting, program development, public diplomacy, digital communication, and stakeholder engagement within a busy overseas mission.

Monthly stipend of EUR 1,523.15; onsite internship at the Australian Embassy in Vienna; exposure to multilateral diplomacy and international organisations; mentorship by Australian diplomats.

Australian citizenship is mandatory.
