JSPS Postdoctoral Fellowships for Research in Japan – Standard Program

The JSPS Postdoctoral Fellowships for Research in Japan – Standard Program invites outstanding early-career researchers from around the world to spend 12 to 24 months conducting collaborative research at universities and eligible research institutions in Japan. Fellows join a host researcher and an established research environment to develop an international collaborative project, with financial support including a monthly maintenance allowance, a round-trip international air ticket, a settling-in allowance, insurance, and access to research expenses. For FY2027, there are two open-call recruitment rounds with approximately 120 fellowships per round.
