The Electromechanical Technical Engineer is a staff-level engineering role within CERN’s high-temperature superconducting (HTS) magnet R&D programme. The post involves design, manufacture and assembly of electromechanical systems for HTS coils, instrumentation, tooling, testing and maintenance. The role requires coordination of component logistics, preparation of technical documentation and conduction of acceptance tests. A valid driving licence and work in controlled/radiation and underground areas are part of the employment conditions.

Benefits

Monthly salary (minimum 7006 CHF net), 30 days paid leave plus closure, health insurance for employee/spouse/children, CERN Pension Fund membership, family/child allowances, relocation package, possibility to extend contract and eligibility for indefinite contract tenure.

Eligibility

Applicants must be nationals of a CERN Member State or Associate Member State; applications from Pakistani, Lithuanian, Latvian, Cypriot, Croatian and Turkish nationals cannot be considered for this vacancy. Applicants must hold relevant qualifications and professional experience; former CERN Staff contract holders are not eligible.
