Information

The Mechanical CAD Designer is a paid technical position in CERN’s Superconducting Magnet Technology section to develop 3D CAD models and detailed drawings for superconducting magnets, prototypes and associated tooling. The role involves close collaboration with engineers and technical specialists on R&D projects for particle accelerators, supporting procurement, assembly activities and CNC preparation. It requires proficiency in modern 3D CAD (e.g. CATIA), experience with PLM systems and relevant mechanical engineering qualifications or equivalent experience.

Eligibility

Applicants must be nationals of a CERN Member State or Associate Member State (with some nationalities currently not considered). Candidates must hold relevant qualifications and professional experience; former CERN staff on a Staff contract are not eligible.
